That clicking come from loose lower bearings. You can have a good tech tighten the bearings or have the valves rebuilt. Rebuilding valves costs 6 to 9 hundred! If the compression on the valves is good you can have the bearings tightened for a lot less. You don't want to replace the valves, they will need lots of work to fit the used valve cases correctly.

Well, I guess my point is that research doesn’t always lead to good products. Sometimes product designers focus on the component parts of the “need” rather than the aggregate whole. IMHO, that’s why Apple succeeds so brilliantly. A lot of their products would fail focus group tests if people were just looking at spec sheets. The same could be said of services.
